KEYNOTE ADDRESS – "Turning Your Limitations into a Superpower"

Domanique Grant is an award-winning artist, global keynote speaker, and founder of The Imagine Summit—one of Canada’s largest professional development and wellness conferences for creatives, youth, and changemakers.

Recognized by Women’s Executive Network as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women and a recipient of the Black Canadian Humanitarian Award, Domanique’s career bridges creativity, business, and social impact. Her work has been featured by BBC Radio London, Financial Times, Microsoft, CTV National, Global News, and the 68th Grammy Awards through RBCxMusic.

In response to the global youth mental health crisis, Domanique founded The Imagine Summit, pioneering a new model for creative leadership grounded in brain science and professional development. Through neuroscience-backed techniques, the summit brings together global thought leaders to equip creatives, youth and founders — with training to reprogram fear, trauma, and anxiety—empowering them to build sustainable creative and economic futures.

Domanique’s music has been a driving force behind some of the most significant social movements of our time. Her mental health anthem, Till We See the Sun, was hailed by CTV National as “the anthem of our time.”

A thought leader in mental health, women’s empowerment, education, and art for social change, Domanique is redefining how artists create global impact.

Turning Limitations into a Superpower: Building Resilient and Supportive Workplaces from the Inside Out

In her powerful keynote, Domanique shares her personal journey of resilience—from an award-winning artist to a humanitarian recognized before the age of 22 and the founder of one of Canada’s largest wellness and professional development conferences.

Blending storytelling with interactive tools and neuroscience-backed strategies, she helps leaders reframe personal and professional limitations into superpowers. Despite research from Forbes showing that employees with traits like neurodiversity, artistry, and unique lived experience demonstrate 45% higher productivity, these strengths are often overlooked in traditional workplaces.

Through her own story — from field work in Uganda at age 20 to building an award-winning social enterprise — Domanique explores how inclusivity, creativity, and empathy can reshape workplaces. She challenges audiences to look beyond traditional leadership models and embrace diverse thinking, lived experience, and mental tenacity as untapped business assets.

Through an immersive experience that blends speaking, live music, and transformative wellness, Domanique takes audiences on a journey of self-empowerment. Attendees will engage in interactive sound healing, nervous system regulation, and mindset exercises—practical tools that merge mental wellness and professional development to enhance personal and professional performance.

Domanique shares how, in the absence of accessible mental health resources, she became her own scientist—reprogramming fear, anxiety, and trauma to break through barriers to success. This session reinforces a powerful truth: we don't need to overcome fear and anxiety to move forward - we can learn how to move forward with them.

WORKSHOP TOPIC: Mindfulness: The Key to Unlocking Creativity and Work-Life Balance

Everyone has untapped creative and leadership potential, but daily stress—work, family, and the global climate—often blocks access to it. Domanique leads participants through an interactive presentation featuring audience exercises and Creative Visioning, a technique designed to unlock breakthrough thinking in just 24 hours. Whether you're a CEO, entrepreneur, or emerging leader, this session offers tools to thrive personally and professionally.

Participants will explore:

  • Creative visioning and priming techniques for everyday peak performance and creative output

  • Learning to reframe neurodiversity, cultural and gender-based differences, and bias-aware leadership as drivers of innovation.

  • Leading across cultural, generational, emotional, and political landscapes.
  • Using mindfulness to manage fear, anxiety, and overwhelm.
  • Unlocking empathy’s full potential: From emotional awareness to strategic leadership.

BRINGING COMFORT & DIGNITY: CONFERENCE SERVICE PROJECT SUPPORTS HALTON WOMEN'S PLACE

At the heart of the ISSA Hygieia Networking & Leadership Conference is a powerful commitment to leadership, connection, and compassion.

In keeping with the Hygieia Network's dedication to the empowerment of women in the cleaning industry, during each conference the ISSA Charities™ signature program supports a local organization whose mission aligns with our shared values. This year, the Hygieia Network is honored to support Halton Women's Place, a beacon of safety and hope for women and children escaping domestic violence in the Halton region.

With confidential emergency shelters in Burlington and Milton, Halton Women's Place provides a secure, welcoming space where survivors can begin to heal and rebuild. Beyond emergency housing, the organization offers crisis intervention, legal advocacy, counseling, and educational programming—all focused on breaking the cycle of abuse and empowering women to reclaim their lives.

Their compassionate team works tirelessly to ensure every woman has the tools, confidence, and community support to move toward a future free from violence.

As part of this year's service project, the ISSA Hygieia Network is collecting new pajamas to support women (and their children) who are coming into the shelter as well as those transitioning out of it. Specifically, Halton Women's Place is in need of the following:

  • Women: Adult sizes XS, Large, XL, XXL and XXL
  • Babies: Sleepers sizes 3 months to 24 months
  • Youth (Pre-Teen & Teen Sizes): Youth XS (4/5), Youth L (12/14), Youth XL (16/18)

These cozy essentials provide comfort, dignity, and a fresh start as women and their children move forward on their journey. Your generosity will help ensure that every woman has something warm, soft and uplifting to call her own.

We are also proud to welcome Carmela Bozzo, Director of Philanthropy & Community Engagement at the Halton Women's Place, who will share more about the shelter's transformative programs. A passionate and dedicated leader in philanthropy and advocacy, Carm has been making a difference with the organization for 20 years, leading the fundraising team for the last 16. Her impact is profound—raising over $1 million annually to support essential programs and services.

Carm is known for her strength in relationship building, her fierce commitment to community, and her belief that education is key to ending violence against women. As a mother of two teenage boys, her advocacy extends from her professional role to her home, championing change through awareness, action, and education.

We invite you to join us in this meaningful effort. Whether you bring a pair a set of pajamas, or simply your support, you are making a difference in someone's journey toward safety and empowerment. Attendees can also share words of encouragement by writing heartfelt postcards, which will be included with each set of pajamas.

Bring hope. Bring comfort. Bring pajamas and slippers.

Together, we can offer warmth, dignity, and most importantly, we can offer a fresh start!
