International Cleaning Week takes place March 22-28, 2026. The week-long event hosted by ISSA, the worldwide association for cleaning and facility solutions, and supported by ISSA Canada, a division of ISSA, is a global celebration to honor frontline cleaning professionals and advocates for the industry.
International Cleaning Week represents a unique opportunity to celebrate the Value of Clean®, raise public awareness, and honor your peers. Cleaning industry companies and organizations can partner with ISSA Canada to further spread public awareness.

Spotless Spaces Competition
The Spotless Spaces Competition received numerous nominations from across the globe in 2025 and will make a return in 2026.
The Spotless Spaces Competition is now accepting nominations, recognizing both the spaces you maintain and the hardworking teams behind them. This competition honors excellence in cleanliness, maintenance, and dedication to creating safe, healthy, and accessible environments.
Being selected as a Finalist means your team and facility will receive well-deserved recognition and be included in a public vote to win one of three distinguished awards:
- Spotless Space of the Year: Awarded to the top U.S. facility selected through popular vote, highlighting outstanding cleaning excellence.
- International Spotless Space of the Year: Celebrates an exceptional international facility selected by industry professionals and the public for their superior hygiene and maintenance standards.
- Tork Think Ahead Facility Excellence Award: Sponsored by Tork, an Essity brand, this award honors a facility demonstrating best-in-class sustainable hygiene management and innovative solutions. A special emphasis is placed on accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring hygienic environments that serve all users, including those with special considerations.
The nomination window is open through January 23, 2026. Award winners will be announced as part of our International Cleaning Week celebration and spotlighted during the inaugural ICW Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C.
