Autonomous Cleaning Survey |
In winter 2019, ISSA and subsidiary member organization the American Association of Cleaning Equipment Manufacturers (AACEM) convened to better understand commercial cleaning industry end-users’ understanding and adoption of autonomous cleaning equipment. The two organizations collectively developed and released an online survey to building service contractors (BSCs), in-house service providers, and facility/property managers with ties to the commercial cleaning industry to gauge these professionals’ familiarity with, perceptions of, and ultimately their adoption of autonomous cleaning equipment. In the fall of 2017, ISSA embarked on a research initiative to determine the state of IoT technology in the cleaning industry and understand what the future of IoT may entail for our member organizations and industry stakeholders. The research began with a survey of ISSA members to gather information on their experience with, adoption of, and outlook on IoT in the cleaning industry.
