Networking & Leadership Conference 2024

FIRST-TIME IN CANADA!

The ISSA Hygieia Network and ISSA Canada are extremely excited to announce that we will be hosting a Hygieia Networking & Leadership Conference in Canada for the first time ever on Thursday, April 25, at the Delta Hotels Toronto Mississauga, 3670 Hurontario St., in Mississauga, ON.

The Hygieia Networking & Leadership Conference brings together industry professionals from across North America to not only network with fellow colleagues, but also develop individual skill-sets through a host of informative presentations. These conferences traditionally feature inspiring speakers who cover topics such as building professional business skills, negotiating, handling bias and discrimination in the workplace, pay equity and much more. The Canadian Conference will be no different.

Turning Good Intentions into Real Impact: Gender Equality and Allyship at Work

Karen Craggs-Milne is a leading go-to expert for organizations that are serious about getting gender equality right.

In this informative and interactive session, Karen will help us understand what it takes to achieve gender equality and promote Allyship in the cleaning industry.

At a sectoral level, participants will learn about key gender issues impacting the cleaning industry and how to address them effectively.

On an institutional level, Karen will introduce her signature framework for achieving gender equality in the workplace, highlighting examples of best practices and important questions that participants can apply to their own organizations.

On an individual level, participants will gain a deeper understanding of what Allyship really means and take away practical tips and strategies that will equip all of us to become impactful Allies for each other – at work and in our personal lives. Whether it is under a tree in a rural village in Ghana or in a Boardroom of Executives, Karen’s authentic and engaging approach promises to educate, transform and inspire you into meaningful action.

By the end of the session, each participant will have their own mini-action plan with concrete next steps to move them from good intentions to real impact.
