Housekeeping Olympics 2021

IEHA, a Division of ISSA, will host the 32nd Annual Housekeeping Olympics on November 18, 2021, following the ISSA Show North America in Las Vegas, NV.

The Housekeeping Olympics provides an opportunity for hundreds of environmental services specialists and housekeeping professionals to come together to compete and have some fun at the same time. Qualifying rounds will begin virtually during Housekeeping/EVS Awareness Week, September 12-18, 2021.

There will be six housekeeping competition events that will earn first, second and third place recognition. Awards will be presented to the winners during the finals only. The events include a bed making competition, buffer pad toss, vacuum race, mop relay, toilet paper toss, and an executive challenge (finals only). Teams will earn 100 points for first place, 75 for second and 50 for third. A team trophy will be given to the top-three teams with the highest point totals for all events combined. If there is a tie, the best score in the Executive Challenge will determine the winner.

In addition to team participation, organizations can recognize the efforts of frontline workers by sponsoring a team at the IEHA Housekeeping Olympics finals. Team sponsors will have their logo place on the team T-shirt or jersey, as well as brand recognition on a tabletop display at the live event.
